Honored Alumni Awards

For 60 years, the Honored Alumni Award has served as the highest honor bestowed upon Cal Poly alumni. The awards recognize alumni from each of the university’s six academic colleges, Cal Poly Athletics and the Cal Poly Alumni Association. Through their contributions to their fields, to Cal Poly, and their impact in their communities and beyond, our Honored Alumni represent the best of Learn by Doing.

Clinton and Connie Pearce

(Agricultural Business, '91) (Animal Science, '87)

Clinton and Connie Pearce are dedicated volunteers and supporters of Cal Poly across disciplines. They are especially supportive of the Cal Poly Rodeo team, of which they were both members as students, and volunteer their time to coach and mentor young rodeo athletes.

Kenric B. Stone

(Architecture, '80)

Stone is a committed supporter of Cal Poly, the Cal Poly Alumni Association and the California State University system. He represents and advocates for the university as a CSU Alumni Council member and past president and is a member of the Cal Poly Foundation Board of Directors.

Mary Crebassa

(Speech Communications, B.S., 1979)

Crebassa is the Vice President of Major Accounts at LTN Global, a worldwide leader in media technology solutions.

Katcho Achadjian

(Business Administration, B.S., 1976)

After immigrating to the US at age 19, Achadjian turned a day job at a Shell Station and a degree from Cal Poly into a career as a successful business owner and State Assemblyman.

Victor J. Glover, Jr.

(General Engineering, B.S., 1999)

Glover is an astronaut training for the first post-certification mission of the SpaceX Crew Dragon and a long duration mission aboard he International Space Station.

Randell Iwasaki

(Civil Engineering, B.S., 1982)

Iwasaki was responsible for the launch of the GoMentum station, an autonomous vehicle testing station, and is partnering with tech and automotive companies toward developing the next generation of transportation solutions.

Gilbert H. Stork, Ph.D.

(Mathematics, B.S., '64 & Mathematics, M.S., '66)

Stork had a long career at Cuesta College, culminating in his appointment as the Superintendent/President in 2011. He was a member of the 1960 Cal Poly football team and was instrumental in the construction of the Mustang Memorial Plaza.

Jon N. Monett

(Industrial Engineering, B.S., '64)

Monett served in the U.S. Air Force and the Central Intelligence Agency, and later founded the College of Engineering’s Quality of Life Plus Laboratory (QL+).
