Discounts and Benefits

As a graduate of Cal Poly, you are automatically a member of the Alumni Association and eligible for the following discounts:

On Campus

Cal Poly Library Alumni Accounts: The Cal Poly Library is happy to extend borrowing privileges for physical items to Cal Poly alumni in the San Luis Obispo and Solano areas. 

Patrons with alumni accounts: 

  • Can come in person and check out Cal Poly-owned physical items at the San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly Maritime locations.
  • Can request Cal Poly-owned physical items via OneSearch from both the San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly Maritime locations for in-person pick-up at either location. 
  • The loan limit is 10 items at any one time. 

Alumni accounts do not include: 

  • Remote, off-campus access to library-licensed databases. 
  • Requests for Interlibrary Loan. 
  • A physical library card* 

To get started, please email the Cal Poly Alumni Association to request and receive an alumni ID number. Then email circulation@calpoly.edu to complete the process. 

*Cal Poly Library alumni accounts are created and managed entirely online

Insurance Benefits

AAA of California – Alumni can show a verification email from us or a photo of your degree to receive a discount with AAA.

USI Travel Insurance Services – Alumni may purchase travel insurance through USI Travel Insurance Services.

Health Insurance Plans – Sponsored by the Cal Poly Alumni Association (CPAA), carefully selected plans from some of the nation’s leading insurance carriers, including Blue Shield, are available through Alumni Insurance Services of AMBA.

AHI Travel – Cal Poly Alumni has partnered with AHI Travel to bring you trips all over the globe including professional instruction, unique excursions, opportunities for cultural immersion and much more.
