From Mott Gym to the Olympic Games
At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, alumnus Nate Ngo (Mathematics, ‘10) is taking Learn by Doing to the next level. As a technical coordinator for the U.S. Men’s National Team, Ngo keeps track of the team’s statistics and is an example of a creative career path that a Mathematics degree can get you.

Alumnus Head Coach Retires
Alex Crozier (Civil Engineering, '84) will retire as women’s soccer head coach at the end of the 2024 season, after more than three decades at the helm. The only head coach in the history of the program and a record six-time Big West Coach of the Year, Crozier is one of the longest active tenured women’s soccer head coaches in all of Division I.

A Career in the Great Outdoors
Rachel Baer (Forestry and Natural Resources, ‘22) always knew she wanted to have a career that would let her work outside in nature. Baer is one of the lucky ones to have landed her dream job early in her career and is now a seasonal park ranger for the National Park Service (NPS).
