Mike Selfridge

Mike Selfridge graduated from Cal Poly with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1989. He joined First Republic Bank (NYSE: FRC) in March 2012 and was appointed as the company’s deputy chief operating officer and chief risk officer in 2013, and the chief operating officer in 2014, before being promoted to chief banking officer in 2016. As chief banking officer and a member of the executive management team, Selfridge is responsible for private banking, business banking, and information security. Prior to joining First Republic, Selfridge was head of U.S. regional banking at Silicon Valley Bank, and held various senior management positions over an 18-year period. Prior to Silicon Valley Bank, Selfridge worked at HSBC and Wells Fargo Bank. He has served on the advisory board of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and is currently on the board of directors of Catholic Charities of San Francisco/Marin/San Mateo counties. Selfridge has been committed to serving non-profit organizations and communities for nearly two decades. He is a Founder’s Circle member and continuing supporter of the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Selfridge earned his MBA from the University of San Francisco in 1995 and completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 2013.
