Kim E. Vorrath

(Computer Science, B.S., '88)

Kimberly E. Vorrath graduated in 1988 with a degree in computer science. She is currently the Vice President of OS Programs at Apple. Vorrath leads the teams responsible for program and project management, power, performance, stability and quality for iOS, OS X and watch OS releases. Vorrath joined Apple 27 years ago as a college intern and was hired full time upon graduation in 1988. She has since held a number of different roles within Apple, including being one of the first members of the iPhone software team. One of Vorrath’s passions is supporting women in technology and at Cal Poly she has championed Women Involved in Software and Hardware (WISH) and student participation in the national Grace Hopper Conference which connects, inspires and guides women in computing. Vorrath is a current member of the Computer Science Department Advisory Board.
