Catherine Cardoza Conner
(Agricultural Business, B.A., 1994)
Catherine Cardoza Conner graduated in 1994 with a degree in agricultural business. Conner was a member of the first intercollegiate women’s soccer team at Cal Poly and also walked onto the women’s tennis team. She began her career in the wine industry before taking over her family’s businesses in real estate investment and development from her father Bob Cardoza, a Cal Poly football player and member of the Cal Poly Athletics Hall of Fame. Conner is currently the managing partner of Conner Investments and has served on numerous charitable boards including Girl Scouts Heart of Central California, Gallo Center for the Arts, St. Vincent DePaul Ministry, Stanislaus Community Foundation, Sutter Health Central Valley Regional Board and The Body Positive. Conner has been a member of the Cal Poly Athletics Director Council since its inception. As vice-chair she was instrumental in establishing a program endowment for the women’s soccer team and chaired the efforts to renovate the Women’s Soccer Locker Room and the Cal Poly Sports Medicine facilities. She is a strong supporter of the women’s tennis team and contributed to Cal Poly’s new Dignity Health baseball clubhouse. Conner and her husband Brian love visiting the Central Coast where they enjoy hiking, running and family time. They have two daughters Aynsley (15) and Daryn (14), who keep them very busy. They currently spend most of their weekends traveling to watch them both play competitive soccer.
