Honored alumni Awards Celebration
For more than 60 years, the Honored Alumni Award has served as the highest honor bestowed upon Cal Poly alumni. The awards recognize alumni from each of the university’s six academic colleges, Cal Poly Athletics and the Cal Poly Alumni Association.

Architecture and Environmental Design
Susan Kutner Rozakis
(Construction, '81)
One of the first women to graduate from Cal Poly's Construction Management program, Rozakis is a standout leader and role model, promoting diversity and equity within the construction industry.

Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences
Dennis Stroud
(Crop Science, '75)
Stroud has been instrumental in the success of Cal Poly's Wine and Viticulture Department and is passionate about the industry and supporting student success.

Engineering
Angela Simon
(Environmental Engineering, '86)
Simon is an advocate of the College of Engineering and Cal Poly Athletics. A former softball player, Simon has created a scholarship to support female athletes in the College of Engineering.

Science and Mathematics
Dr. Roger Duncan, III
(Biological Sciences, '84)
A fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Dr. Duncan has a passion for mentorship and youth development in underserved communities that spans more than thirty years.

Orfalea College of Business
Katherine Johnson
(Business Administration, '81, Concentration in Accounting)
Johnson has a passion for bookkeeping and for helping students succeed. She is a longtime volunteer with youth causes and recently established a scholarship for Cal Poly students who, like herself, didn't have financial support through college.

Athletics
Jason Maas
(Mechanical Engineering, '87)
A former baseball player, Maas attributes his career success in large part to the baseball program and the demanding academic foundation he received at Cal Poly. He is a strong supporter of Cal Poly baseball and is committed to providing the best student-athlete experience for players.

Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award
Stephan Cheek
(Business Administration, '85)
A co-founder of the Cal Poly Black Alumni Chapter, Cheek is a key figure in a network of alumni supporting Black Alumni Chapter activities and networking. He has served as a Cal Poly Alumni Ambassador and continues to build connections by fostering the partnership between Cal Poly and Fortune Schools across the state.

Clinton and Connie Pearce
(Agricultural Business, '91) (Animal Science, '87)
Clinton and Connie Pearce are dedicated volunteers and supporters of Cal Poly across disciplines. They are especially supportive of the Cal Poly Rodeo team, of which they were both members as students, and volunteer their time to coach and mentor young rodeo athletes.
