Cal Poly Alumni — San Luis Obispo Community Founders Day Celebration
The Cal Poly Alumni — San Luis Obispo Community invites you to celebrate Cal Poly's founding date on Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m., at Woodstock's Pizza in downtown San Luis Obispo (1000 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401).
On March 8, 1901, Governor Henry Gage signed legislation establishing Cal Poly. This exciting announcement came after a group of local citizens led by journalist Myron Angel had been lobbying for a state school in San Luis Obispo since 1894.
Alumni are throwing it back this year — wind up your disposable cameras, break out your vintage Cal Poly gear and get ready to share in your nostalgia! You'll also have the chance to meet volunteers and leaders from the Cal Poly Alumni Association.
Tickets are $15 and include Woodstock's pizza, salad, breadsticks, one drink ticket for alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages and a special swag item. This event is open to Cal Poly alumni and guests of all ages.
Space is limited. Secure your spot by noon on Friday, March 7.
