Cal Poly Alumni — San Diego Community Founders Day Celebration
The Cal Poly Alumni — San Diego Community invites you to celebrate Cal Poly's founding date on Saturday, March 8, at 1 p.m., at Kate Sessions Neighborhood Park (5115 Soledad Rd, San Diego, CA 92109).
On March 8, 1901, Governor Henry Gage signed legislation establishing Cal Poly. This exciting announcement came after a group of local citizens led by journalist Myron Angel had been lobbying for a state school in San Luis Obispo since 1894.
Alumni are throwing it back this year — wind up your disposable cameras, break out your vintage Cal Poly gear and get ready to share in your nostalgia! You will also have the opportunity to hear from leaders on the Cal Poly Alumni Association Board of Directors and volunteers from the Cal Poly Alumni Association.
Tickets are $10 and include appetizers from El Tianguis, one non-alcoholic beverage and a special swag item. This family-friendly event is open to Cal Poly alumni, supporters and guests. This venue is outdoors so please dress accordingly.
Space is limited. Secure your spot by noon on Thursday, March 6.
