Cal Poly Alumni — Salinas Community Founders Day Celebration
The Cal Poly Alumni — Latinx Community and Salinas Valley Community are hosting a special event for Monterey County Mustangs to celebrate Cal Poly's founding date! Join us in Salinas on Friday, March 8, starting at 2 p.m., at Stonies Taphouse (1366 S Main St, Salinas, CA 93901).
On March 8, 1901, Governor Henry Gage signed legislation establishing Cal Poly. This exciting announcement came after a group of local citizens led by journalist Myron Angel had been lobbying for a state school in San Luis Obispo since 1894.
Alumni are throwing it back this year — wind up your disposable cameras, break out your vintage Cal Poly gear and get ready to share in your nostalgia! You will also have the opportunity to hear from Cal Poly Alumni Association volunteers about what's next in the area.
Tickets are $15 and include light snacks and a special swag item. Additional food and beverages are available for purchase. This event is open to Cal Poly alumni and guests of all ages.
Space is limited. Secure your spot bynoon on Thursday, March 6.
