Cal Poly Alumni — Green Community Virtual Industry Panel Discussion
The Cal Poly Alumni — Green Community is excited to invite you to our very first event!
Join us on Zoom on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. PDT, as we welcome a panel of industry specialists for our virtual Sustainability in Practice discussion.
Early career alumni and those exploring careers in sustainability will hear about our panelists' journeys into sustainability. Experienced professionals will learn more about current projects and what's up-and-coming in our panelists' respective fields. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet the current leadership team for Cal Poly Green and learn what's next for the new alumni community.

This virtual event is FREE to attend and is open to Cal Poly alumni, current students and supporters. Registered attendees will receive the Zoom link and password via Eventbrite.

MEET THE PANELISTS
Chase Hemming (Civil Engineering, '17)
Senior Engineer at ENGEO
Chase graduated from Cal Pol with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2017, and then completed a M.S. in Environmental Fluid Mechanics and Hydrology at UC Berkeley in 2018. He has worked for ENGEO for over six years, specializing in hydrology and hydraulics, creek restoration and stabilization, post-fire mitigation, coastal processes, groundwater management and numerical modeling.
Gabe Worthington (Environmental Earth and Soil Sciences, '20)
Sustainability Program Manager, Measure to Improve
Gabe is a Cal Poly Class of 2020 Soil Science graduate. Gabe spent a season farming on the Central Coast prior to beginning his MS at CSU Chico in 2022 where he conducted research on cover cropping practices. Gabe began working as a Sustainability Program Manager with Measure to Improve in 2024. Gabe enjoys his role as it allows him to help the fresh produce industry with their sustainability efforts.
