Passage of Peter the Great
Fall 2005
We traveled through Russia on an exclusive cruise itinerary between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Our private charter ship, the MS Repin, was our "floating hotel" as we ventured on the historic Neva, Svir, and Volga Rivers, as well as across Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega. Ports-of-call, with guided shore excursions, included Kizhi Island, Goritsy, Yaroslavl and Uglick.
Our cruise included special tours to the Kremlin, Red Square, and the Hermitage Museum. The trip was a mixture of the excitement of large cities interspersed with relaxing on the boat deck as we ventured through several locks with their magnificent sculpture. Educational programs and concerts were provided.
