"Provence is an enchanting land of dazzling light, olive groves, fields of lavender and vineyards." We stayed in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, at the Hotel Aquabella, located a short walk from the Cours Mirabeau. We visited the historic villages of Le Luberon, captured in Peter Mayle's A Year in Provence.
Some of the highlights of this program were our private tour of the Chateau d'Ansouis, an exclusive wine tasting at the Chateau Val-Joanis vineyard, exploring Aix-en-Provence as the historic capital of the region and a special look at the life of Cezanne. Local experts provided educational programs.
