For the University

Distinguished Teaching Awards
The Alumni Association helps sponsor the annual Distinguished Teaching Awards. Any student or alum may nominate a teacher.

Homecoming
The Alumni Association’s signature event is held in the fall of each year. Come back to campus and enjoy a the annual Tailgate BBQ and CPAA Wine Tasting, and the big football game in the newly-expanded Alex G. Spanos Stadium. It’s a weekend not to be missed! Make sure to buy your tickets early; all events sell out in advance.

Open House/Poly Royal
The Alumni Association hosts a “Welcome Back” tent for all alumni. Everyone is welcome to stop by for an official alumni welcome.

For Students and Parents

Student Scholarships
CPAA chapters raise more than $195,000 annually in scholarship money for current students.

New Student Welcome Events
The New Student Welcome Events began in 1998 as a suggestion from the Alumni Board and regional chapters. CPAA chapters around the state pick a Saturday in August to host a picnic lunch for local Cal Poly freshmen and their families. The picnics are a way to connect and welcome incoming freshman, transfer students and their families to Cal Poly.

PolyReps
You may have seen them walking backwards, wearing green polo shirts or maybe giving you your first campus tour! The PolyReps are the University's ambassadors and official student volunteer tour guides.
