The GOLD Program
The GOLD (Graduates Of the Last Decade) Program is a regionally based program that works within the existing Alumni Association chapters. It was created and approved by the Alumni Board in 1998 as a way to connect young alumni in their 20s and 30s during their first years out of school.
GOLD Reps help
organize after-work socials and work with chapter leaders and the Alumni
Office on yearly events. GOLD Reps are also provided excellent leadership
and event-training skills within the Alumni Association.
Alumni who join the Alumni Association and have graduated within the last 10 years are automatically part of the GOLD program. GOLD events are geared toward young alumni, but all alumni are welcome, including friends of alumni. Typical events include after-work socials at a local restaurant or club, sporting events, or anything unique to a regional area.
Getting Involved
GOLD REPS
The GOLD Program is always looking for individuals who want to get involved
as a GOLD Rep or contact. GOLD Reps organize gatherings and work with
the regional chapter. If you are interested in learning more, contact Carina Yamaguchi at cyamaguchi@alumni.calpoly.edu or Roseann "Rosey" Parks at rparks@calpoly.edu in the Alumni Office.
